Pre Dinner Snowcones

        It was a warm day here in Ohio, so my husband and I decided to hit up the local Snowcones stand. Since we have lived in the town we live in we had wanted to go and try it but it had slipped our minds at every opportunity until this afternoon.

          We parked in front of the stand and got our two little boys out and walked up to see what the stand had to offer. They had so many flavors and toppings, and combinations with different fun names. We looked them all over, entertained by a few of the names, and finally choose the flavors we wanted. My husband decided on a snow cone called Spiderman that was black cherry and blue raspberry, blue and red very well known as Spiderman colors. And I chose the Bahama mama, strawberry, banana, and coconut with vanilla cream on top.

       Once we paid we sat down at one of their picnic tables and waited for our order to be ready. They soon came out and my older son was very excited, he loves Popsicles at home. We sat in the cool breeze enjoying our treats, including a laugh at our post treat blue and red tongues. Once we were done we cleaned up our cups, spoons and napkins and got in the car to go home. It was going on dinnertime and I still had to start cooking. It’s not too often we have a pre-dinner treat like we did today, but I hope it’s the random,fun things like today that my kids will remember from their childhood. I know they are still too young to really remember what we did today years after, but my husband and I will remember this time with them trying to make a special memory .
