Organized Chaos

What are your daily habits?

Each day in my home is what I like to call organized chaos. In the morning I have my alarm set to wake me at 7am. At that point I start getting up, out of bed, getting myself stretched and ready to tackle the morning with two toddlers. The best way to do this is to have a morning routine and stick to it but also allow for some flexibility. Meaning breakfast isn’t always eaten at the same time, it’s not always get up and get going. Some days are just slow and go with the flow.

The next daily habit is our night routine, again flexible but helps keep my family on track to bedtime. We start with making dinner and trying to eat between 5 and 6. After that we usually watch some TV and let our stomachs digest. Come 6:30 it’s time for baths for the kids. They love their bath time. After bath comes bedtime snack. I’ve been told putting a kid to bed with a little something on their belly’s helps them sleep better and not wake in the middle of the night hungry. I definitely agree with this so my kids get a snack every night. Then at 7:30 it’s off to bed for the bed for the kids.

I find that keeping to these morning and night routines has helped my family so much. I know when we keep to our routines it’s helps to make a better middle of the day for our family. So, I will be keeping these habits to make better, smooth days for my family.
