Baby Proofing

Lately my Toddler son has been into everything. Every drawer, cupboard, you name it. Now the word no can go a long way but you also need to make sure your child is safe. It’s natural to want to open a cupboard door that’s down on your level and see what’s inside but when that is an under the sink cupboard with cleaning supplies and other things with chemicals you don’t want them exploring that.

So this morning I went to Walmart and looked at their selection of baby proofing products. After looking them over I decided to get the latch system. It was adhesive and seemed to be simple to install. I learned very quickly once I got home that it was not that simple.

I opened the package and began to read the instructions and try to follow the pictures. I quickly realized I was very confused on what they meant but I went to try to install it anyway and just learn as I go. The first of four patches to be installed took at least ten minutes to install. I was realizing the real reason so many people decide not to baby proof. It’s not behavior, or the cost, or not having the time. It’s how hard it is to install the baby proofing supplies.
