Life Update

Lately like has been a crazy whirlwind. We celebrated our youngest turning one, my toddler is right in the midst of the terrible twos and I have not been able to catch a break with my health.

While celebrating my son’s first birthday was such a a happy time with such a sweet little boy it definitely came with a bit of stress. Figuring out how much food to bring to make sure all the guests have enough to eat and shopping for that food. Getting the venue decorated and food set up before guests arrive while also reigning in two little ones definitely tested my patience. But, once the party was in full swing all that was pushed out of my mind and I just enjoyed watching my son at his party. I’ll never forget how much he loved his smash cake.

Now, my toddler has definitely been trying my patience. I’ve said before no one knows how to push your buttons better than a toddler. He has been pushing buttons I didn’t even know I had lately. He gets into everything he isn’t supposed to and basically refuses to play with his own toys and books. I feel bad often because while I’m constantly busy keeping my toddler out of everything, it’s like I’m neglecting my one year old just because he’s not running around all crazy.

My health has had me on a rollercoaster lately. One day I’ll be feeling good then my back will go out. Then I’ll be ok again and the weather will have a drastic up and down and it will mess with my sinuses. I will end up with a cold for a week and feel like I was hit by a truck. And as many stay at home parents know, there are no days off. So you have to suck it up as much as possible and continue to care for your kids and home. Without doing that the home goes to total disarray.

If any of you had a rough week I know how you feel and you aren’t alone. So, here’s to a better week and just pushing forward.
